Design priority, fashion and vitality
First look at the appearance, LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 has a total of four color combinations, “Consumer Electronics” magazine got a more fashionable “red and white color.” The red area is designed for mesh fabric with a zipper underneath, but this does not mean that the red fabric can be removed.
Pulling the zipper can only see the 3C certification marks. And the red fabric is fixed and cannot be moved, so the zipper can be considered as: “it is only a decoration and it cleverly conceals some important certification marks for the simplicity of the product appearance.”
The back of the LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 has a switch and power interface as well as a USB interface. It even provides a 3.5mm audio interface for users to use as a terminal.
The “Bird” at the top is the operating area of the LIBRATONE ZIPP 2, including cutting songs, adjusting the volume, and awakening the Smart Voice Assistant. Its functions are richer and more playable than Apple’s HomePod.
Integrate Tencent Dangdang AI Assistant
In terms of intelligence, LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 integrates with tencent’s dingdang AI assistant to perform some routine voice commands is easy.According to tests conducted by Consumer Electronics, its music, weather, news, Q&A, alarm clock, stock market, etc., are all well tested, and the localization service is in place.

LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 holds the usage rights to all of QQ music’s songs, and basically searches all the songs it wants to listen to without requiring users to pay extra feet cost for QQ music membership.
The LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 has an app, users can make more adjustments to the speakers on the app. The most interesting one is that in the music column, the user can automatically generate different styles of music songs by sliding to different color blocks; when sliding to red, the warmer the songs; to blue, the soothinger the songs.
Comparing HomePod, sound quality
In terms of sound quality, LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 has built-in 4-inch bass unit and 1.5-inch tweeter unit. It also has a similar spatial positioning technology as Apple HomePod. It can intelligently adjust the sound intensity according to the location of the speaker, thus ensuring that the speaker can make the best sound in any position.
After the actual test of the “Consumer Electronics” evaluation room, we found that the bass of LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 is very powerful, especially in the position of the drum point. Every blow can feel the vibration of the air, and the stop is very quick. But in some complex bass nodes, when the sounds of a large number of instruments are mixed together, the LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 will be a little bit unworkable, and the low frequency will have a certain degree of “confusing”. So do Apple’s HomePod.
In terms of vocals, LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 has showed the marching with its price. The sound is transparent and delicate, and it is not worst HomePod.

After a round of complete experience, LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 did bring us a lot of surprises. The first is its sound quality, which can make a loud sound in such a small volume. Secondly, it is very young and energetic in terms of design. And it doesn’t need to be connected like the HomePod forever, because the LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 has a built-in lithium battery, you can take it with youself.
LIBRATONE ZIPP 2 can change the user’s habit of using the home speakers and intelligentize the behavior of listening to music. Using without charing, it means users can also bring this habit to the outdoors.
